rough week

This past work week I've had some of the most strangest things  happen to me. I was on number one and I went to grab some more bags and this 300+ pound guy was right next to me. He had lost this balance and almost fell on top of me. If he would've done that I don't believe that I would be here right now, I'd probably be decapitated.

I had this lady tell me that she has never seen the spelling of my name before. Then she asked if I was born around Christmas which I am used to being asked that. But, when I normally tell people I was named after a carburetor they just make a stupid joke or they say that they don't like it. Well, this lady said to me after she got done laughing, that she wouldn't want to have my name only because it was after a car part.. Then she also said that she felt bad for me and that nobody would want to be named after a car part. Well I don't really mind be named after a car part I guess, at least I know what I'm named after, unlike her which probably doesn't even know.

Yesterday, which was Saturday I had a lady call in to complain to about me, saying that I was being rude to her. When she came through my line I said hello, how are you today? and she didn't answer me. I just assumed that maybe she didn't want to talk. So I didn't talk to her at all except to tell her the total and to have a nice day. Well she didn't like that one bit. When my manager talked to her, she was pissed. My manager said that I needed hearing aids and needed to pay more attention. I guess I didn't hear her talking to me, but oh well she was a bitch anyways.

I Hate My Job

All I have to say is that I hate my job. People are just so rude and they don't even care about your feelings. Yeah, I understand that you are having a bad day but don't take it out on me. I had this guy come through my line and tell me that he only gets paid minimum wage and how he cant afford to pay for his family, when he is on the bridge card. Then he has the balls to tell me that I probably get paid more than he does. I make less then minimum wage, and I still have bills to pay. So I looked at the guy and said "I'm not better than you but, I don't even make minimum wage and life is going to suck some times." After that he just shut right up and left.



 They say that you will have the nice customers but you will always remember the mean ones. that is so true. I have had a lot of nice customers. Sometimes if I say I want to try something that they are buying they will actually open whatever it is and let me try it. Then you have the mean customers that you try to converse with and they just make you into a pissed off mood. I had this one lady come argue with me because she didn't think I was doing my job right. She argued with me for about 15 minutes and I wasn't going to back down because I knew I was right and she was wrong. Finally, she called over my manager and my manager said the same exact thing as I was trying to tell the lady. She was still pissed off though. Then since she pissed me off I still had to finish bagging her groceries, lets just say that I bagged them really heavy, that way the bag would break.


I also hate some of the people that I work with. They are just very rude to the customers and do not listen. The other day I was front end manager and the boys were like we don't have to listen to you cause you aren't really our boss. Then we have these two, bitter, coldhearted old ladies. They don't have one nice bone in their body I don't think. They yell at people even when they aren't doing anything wrong and they always have to be right! It gets annoying. I cant wait until I'm done with this job.
