Yesterday at McDonalds Food & Family was quite the day. I was training some new lady and she was kind of pissing me off. She was like I already know everything and you don't need to teach me. That DID NOT fly well with me! I told her that she needed to shut up and listen and not to talk back to me because for the moment I was her boss. So she soon found out that I was being serious and didn't talk except to ask me questions. Also, my boss told me to quiz her since she "knew" everything. So I quizzed her and she had no clue on where most of the stuff went like the damaged- frozen, produce, meat went back.

Since yesterday was Saturday that meant that the Kinde Polka Fest was going on and everyone was going to be there. That was the big talk around the small town of Bad Axe. Everyone knows how to Polka except for me. I had one of my co-workers teach me how to Polka. So there I was when it wasn't busy practicing how to Polka so I wouldn't embarrass my boyfriend and myself. Its only a three step count.....Who knew?

On Friday I had an old man tell argue with me. He was like "So your name is Holley?"
I replied "Yes, why"
Old man: "Like the flower Holly?
Me: "No, like the carburetor Holley"
Old man: "No! You were named after the flower Holly and you are just as beautiful as the flower, unlike the carburetor"
Me: "Well, thanks I guess." I always get people arguing with my name and how it is spelt. They just need to know that my name isn't going to change just cause they don't like it.

Friday was kind of  slow and when its slow we have to find things to make us busy. Well we did everything on the check off list and had the store looking tip top shape. Well...my boss came in and he was mad "I don't just pay you guys to sit around and do nothing, get to work"
well me being a smartass said "Everything is done, what do you want us to do?"
he replied "Go home then". So needless to say I thought I was going to lose my job, but I didn't. Two other co-workers joined with me and left. Oh the joys of working in a grocery store.
