WeIrD ThInGs

What a week at work. It was so eventful and I only worked 3 days this week which is unusual. The first thing that happened to me on Tuesday was this old lady was telling me how she was going to be going into a "home" and that she was excited to be going. She was telling me and my carry out how she found God at this "home" and that you can't have any pencils or paper there. It wasn't long until I figured out that she was talking about going into a crazy home. She then told us that she volunteers to go and that she doesn't have to, but her husband wants to send her anyways. She also said she made a lot of friends there and she will be home before Christmas but she might go back because she is going to miss being there. I just stood there and let her talk because I had no clue what to say to her besides "you're crazy".

Working in a public place I guess you have to expect the unexpected. I had a guy come through my line and before he started to unload his groceries I heard him fart. It was not a normal fart either. I believe he had shit his pants. As soon as he farted I watched his face and his eyes grew big. And when he unloaded and came up to the checkout he was kind of shuffling his feet and moving very slow. It smelled disgusting. My eyes started to water and needed a fresh breathe of air. I tried not making it noticeable but it was very hard. The guy hurried up and paid me and left. You could definitely tell he was holding his butt cheeks together. It seriously smelled for 10 minutes after he had left. Grossest thing EVER!!!!!!!!

At Spartans college students and high school students are not allowed to be front end manager, but I was on Saturday. It felt pretty cool telling the old lady which everyone hates at work what to do. All the high schoolers though wouldn't listen to me reason being you aren't our manager, therefore we don't have to listen to you. :/ Work is just its own kind of stress. But hey, that's why I'm going to college so I won't be in a grocery store for the rest of my life.
